Went for a walk again today. Usually our average pace is 3.3 miles per hour. Tonight we got that up to 3.4! Hooray! We are getting faster... 0.1 mile at a time.

Day 14 - blown away
Another day another walk. This time we walked in the morning in the wind pushing the to littles (who really aren't that little, we figure pushing those two in the chariot is pushing an extra 100lbs). At time walking into the wind it took all of your effort just to keep moving. The wind was blowing at 46km/h with gusts up to 61km/h. So just a little windy.

Day 12 - hoodoos and a proposal.
Today we headed out to Writing on Stone with my brother Tyson. We hopped around on the hoodoos for quite some time. Then he went to meet his girlfriend, Kandas, a Coutts. She was coming up to visit from Utah. then they came back to WOS to have supper, and Tyson proposed.. So exciting.
Later I was off on a walk with Amber again. we are very consistent with our speed. It always takes us the same amount of time to walk the same distance. We'll have to challenge ourselves here sometime soon to see if we can't get our speed up just a bit.

Day 11 - Mini ball and a quick walk
Today we sat all afternoon in the school gym watching the mini ball tournament. Eventually we just needed to get up and move so we walked around the school yard 4 times, for a total of about 2 miles. A little walk is better than no walk.

Day 10 - walking
Still walking and talking. This is great. I love walking and I love the company. I hope we keep this up for a long time to come...and I hope that at some point we both will start to see results. Still trying to eat following the 21 day fix plan. Usually that's not too hard. some days go better than others.

Day 8 -walking and talking
So I did pretty good at eating today...until supper. Well after really. I ate a good healthy supper, but the Kathryn had made garlic bread...the good kind baked in real butter...And I just had to have one..or three pieces. Oops.
BUT, then I went out walking with Amber. We walked 3.76 miles in 1 hour 7 minutes and had a great time talking.

Day 7 - ranch hands
Headed out to George Henline's ranch today with the family to check out his baby cows and shoot some gophers. It was a beautiful afternoon. But of course when you go see George, bacon and pancakes are always involved...not exactly the type of meal I've been trying to eat...But oh well, such is life.

Day 6- let's walk
So my dear friend, Amber, and I went out for a walk tonight. We walked 3.58 miles in 1 hour 4 min. Not great, but a good start. We plan to walk again Tuesday.

Day 5 - day off-ish
Busy day today. Oldest was playing in basketball zones. Eating according to the plan was out the window today. But I think I may have burned enough calories because of the stress of the final game. A 65-67 win in overtime. Vet exciting finish to the season.

Day 4 - changed plans
So originally the plan was to go walking tonight with my good friend. But that changed because I had also made plans to go on a date with my Kymberly. Wet had fun together. But I did indulge in popcorn and pop and then we went out for a but to eat. We shared a bacon squids burger and fries. So although I had started out the day eating all that I should...I finished the day eating a bunch of crap. But I also remembered to drink all the water that I should be in a day. Sometimes it's tricky to remember to drink water.

Day 3 - partnering up
So today a good friend of mine and I got talking about workouts and walking and such, and we have decided to start doing this together, so tonight we got together for our first work out in her basement. After struggling with technical issues, we "enjoyed" a workout together. We plan to do one of those once a week and go walking at least twice together.
This was certainly an answer to prayer for me. Now to stick with it.

Day 2-slow start
So, it's a slow start. I haven't done a work out of any kind yet...two days in. But I have been keeping track of what I am eating. So that's always good. Also I forgot to add "drink enough water" to the list of things I want to do better. So consider that added. I'll try to track that on my phone app, along with my weight and exercise when I figure out how best to fit that into my day.
A slow start, but not dismal.

Day one - Let's do this again shall we?
OK, so I've basically gained back all the weight I had lost up until last fall. That sucks. And now it's time to start doing something about it again. So here is the deal. I'm going to try this 100 day approach again. I'm going to do my very darndest to stick to the following plan for 100 days. Starting today (day 100 will be June 8, 2016).
So here is the plan:
So here is the plan:
- Eat smarter! Basically following the eating plan for the 21 day fix. I've found this to be successful in the past and easy for me to maintain.
- Work out at least 3 times a week, and trying to fit in 5 times a week when possible.
- Get to bed by 11pm.
- Weigh myself every day and record it. (today's number was 269.7)
- Check in here every day to report/vent.
