Not much to report on today, except that I hurt...a lot. My thighs are week and so very sore. Feels good and miserable all at the same time. Sure glad I have a couple days break before the leg and hip torture is scheduled again. However, I'm looking forward to the day when the pain is gone and I can do so much more.
Today's weight taken at 10pm is 272. Yikes! Yesterday's was better.
See you tomorrow.

100 day challenge
So I came across this site today giveit100.com and it got me thinking. The idea is to do something, anything for 100 days. Maybe you want to learn to juggle, maybe you want to learn to dance, maybe you want to start exercising, whatever it is you do it everyday for 100 days and make a video of you doing it each day. Well I am not interested in making a video, but I am in for documenting it here every day for 100 days, starting today.
This is what I am going to do:
So to start, for the month of January I will be doing the following;
So there it is, that is the plan. One hundred days will take me to April 18th, the beginning of Easter Break.
Wish me luck! I'll see you again tomorrow.
This is what I am going to do:
- Six days a week I will do strength training of some kind
- Five days a week I will do cardio for at least 20min
- I will eat smarter, no snacking after supper.
- Sunday is my rest/cheat day. By "cheat day" I simply mean that is the day I can enjoy a treat that is off limits the rest of the week.
So to start, for the month of January I will be doing the following;
- Pushups every day, My max right now is 8 with out stopping. I will add 2 every three days.
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday I will do strength training on my hips and legs
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday I will ride my stationary bike for at least 20min
- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday I will so strength training on my abs
- Tuesday, Thursday I will work out to a exercise DVD for at least 20min
- Everyday I will make a blog post
- I will weigh in everyday and take measurement once a week all of which will be added to my blog post.
So there it is, that is the plan. One hundred days will take me to April 18th, the beginning of Easter Break.
Wish me luck! I'll see you again tomorrow.

Feeling good
So since my last sad post I put myself to work. Well kinda. What I really did was start to track what I was eating EVERY day on sparkpeople.com and I've been keeping with in my calorie range(around 2000 calories). AND I haven't had a single little Halloween chocolate bar since SUNDAY! It's killing me, the no chocolate bit. I've also pretty much stopped nursing Ella. I have mixed feelings about that. She's my last baby, and she's growing up, and I'll never nurse another baby ever again. It's kinda sad. But She has a mouth full of teeth, and she is a nasty biter, and I was getting so sore. So I started her on Formula. She's almost 9 months old now, and most of my other kids were drinking formula at 9 months. So I am OK with it and sad all at the same time. Anyway, my point is simply that now that I am not nursing, and now that I am really being diligent about watching what and how much I am eating, I am starting to see some wonderful results. In less than a week I have lost 5lbs. And all I have done is cut back my portions and track what I am eating. I am still eating the same kinds of food that I was eating before, just less of it. I'm feeling good today. Feeling like I'm off to a good start and like maybe this time I'm going to make it work. Yep, I'm off to a good start!

Here we are again
Feeling fat today. Might have something to do with the 270 pounds that I weigh. Yeah, that's right, I weigh a ridiculous 270 pounds. That means that I have put on about 7 pounds since having my last baby. She's now 8 months old, and instead of loosing weight, I've put on a little. Not good. I don't like being this size, but I've been finding it so hard to balance life with a baby and a 3yr old at home all day and finding time to get exercise in. Excuses, excuses. That's all I have, and 270 pounds to show for it. So I guess it's time to make some changes. To start, I plan on working on tracking what I am eating with sparkpeople.com. I know this can work and I know that I can see a change when I simply change what I am eating. So, even though I have a draw full of Halloween chocolate, I will not be indulging in it every day. I'll only be letting myself have some on Sunday's. This is doable. I just hate feeling this way...defeated. I gotta find my way out of this and I am hoping that maybe writing on this blog again might help me out some...at least it will be a place to cry, a place to vent and hopefully a place to cheer myself on. And maybe, just maybe, one day it will contain my success story.

I'm at it again
Well, what can I say, I fell off the wagon again. But my darling girls, ages 7 and 9, have picked me up and encouraged me to get back in the game. If you recall last summer we ran in a 5km race. They want to do it again. But they'd like to do better than last year. And so would I. I asked them a few weeks ago if they'd like to start jogging with me in the mornings, they said that they'd love it. So finally on Tuesday I set their alarm for 6am. And sure enough they were up and ready to go. I wasn't sure what to expect since I haven't jogged since last October. But I was pleasantly surprised that I could still do it and not feel like I was dying. I have still have a lot of work to do to be able to run a 5km race. But I'm not back where I was last year at this time when I started training the first time. I couldn't even run for a full minute back then, I'm pleased to say that I can run jog for at least a minute now. We took it easy on our first day. We'll push ourselves a little more on Thursday. The best thing about having these running mates...they will never let me sleep in and they are super enthusiastic about this new project.

mornings
Why can't I get up in the morning??? Oh wait, it's because I don't go to bed until after midnight. I'm a night owl and so is my husband. So even when I try to get to bed early, he interrupts things. Bah. One day I'll figure it out. But on the up side of things, I've still been able to get a work out in after the older kids go to school. I've just made it a priority and get it done. So the dishes don't get done, or the bread doesn't get made, or the clothes do get folded. But I get in a 20-40min work out and I feel great. So I guess that's what matters most right now. Speaking of which, I must go do a work out right now.
