Day 15 - getting faster

Went for a walk again today. Usually our average pace is 3.3 miles per hour. Tonight we got that up to 3.4! Hooray! We are getting faster... 0.1 mile at a time.

Day 14 - blown away

Another day another walk. This time we walked in the morning in the wind pushing the to littles (who really aren't that little, we figure pushing those two in the chariot is pushing an extra 100lbs). At time walking into the wind it took all of your effort just to keep moving. The wind was blowing at 46km/h with gusts up to 61km/h. So just a little windy.

Day 12 - hoodoos and a proposal.

Today we headed out to Writing on Stone with my brother Tyson. We hopped around on the hoodoos for quite some time. Then he went to meet his girlfriend, Kandas, a Coutts. She was coming up to visit from Utah. then they came back to WOS to have supper, and Tyson proposed.. So exciting.

Later I was off on a walk with Amber again. we are very consistent with our speed. It always takes us the same amount of time to walk the same distance. We'll have to challenge ourselves here sometime soon to see if we can't get our speed up just a bit.

Day 11 - Mini ball and a quick walk

Today we sat all afternoon in the school gym watching the mini ball tournament. Eventually we just needed to get up and move so we walked around the school yard 4 times, for a total of about 2 miles. A little walk is better than no walk.

Day 10 - walking

Still walking and talking. This is great. I love walking and I love the company. I hope we keep this up for a long time to come...and I hope that at some point we both will start to see results. Still trying to eat following the 21 day fix plan. Usually that's not too hard. some days go better than others.

Day 8 -walking and talking

So I did pretty good at eating today...until supper. Well after really. I ate a good healthy supper, but the Kathryn had made garlic bread...the good kind baked in real butter...And I just had to have one..or three pieces. Oops.
BUT, then I went out walking with Amber. We walked 3.76 miles in 1 hour 7 minutes and had a great time talking.

Day 7 - ranch hands

Headed out to George Henline's ranch today with the family to check out his baby cows and shoot some gophers. It was a beautiful afternoon. But of course when you go see George, bacon and pancakes are always involved...not exactly the type of meal I've been trying to eat...But oh well, such is life.
